Swirll was born in 2021 in Napa Valley in California, and is now based in Paris, France. Its ambition is to become a key player of the wine industry in the coming years. Occupying a wine expert position while making wine accessible to as many people as possible, in the context of global warming. To achieve this ambition, we rely on five pillars. Innovation, through a daily monitoring of industry players on social networks. Transmission, through the teaching of oenology in some of the best French schools and universities. Collaboration, through renowned partnerships such as those with Caves Legrand or Chais de France. Investment, through the acquisition of sought-after bottles and rare vintages. And finally Hospitality, through our masterclasses and our extraordinary Grand Crew tasting evenings.

FOUNDER
Marc-Antoine Mathey discovered wine at the age of 20, within the wine club of his university. A few years later, he became the tasting coach, and led his team to the final of the Left Bank Bordeaux Cup, an international blind tasting competition, at Château Lafite Rothschild in 2018. At 25, after obtaining a Master’s degree in Finance from Paris Dauphine University and completing an exchange at Luigi Bocconi University in Milan, he moved to California to work for Moet Hennessy. There, he discovered the wine industry in Napa Valley, obtained WSET3 and faced the reality of wildfires. He completed WSET4 in 2025 and has now two goals: create and deliver unique tasting experiences, and make consumers aware that a more sustainable viticulture is essential for our planet.
